340B Education Day November 13

Plan to join us on November 13 for our first 340B Education Day. From regulatory updates to 340B audit best practices, WSHA and WHS have teamed up with SunRx to bring you national expertise on the latest program developments. The day will be held at the WSHA offices in Seattle from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and includes a networking lunch. Space is limited to 35 participants.

340B Regulatory Environment

Objective: Discuss industry updates in 340B and the impact of recent changes on hospitals and explore opportunities for hospitals to engage in the advocacy of 340B.

340B Discount Card Programs for the Uninsured

Objective: HRSA has made it clear that the intentions of 340B programs are to make 340B pricing available to vulnerable populations. How your hospital can implement and optimize a 340B discount card for the uninsured in your community.

Best Practices in Contract Pharmacy & Split Billing

Objective: Describe Industry Best Practices in 340B for hospitals and eligible entities. Discuss how to get started with a program and the considerations that should be taken into account when setting up a contract pharmacy and split-billing. This is a deep dive on approaches to consider when optimizing your 340B program.

340B Audit Best Practices

Objective: Describe considerations when preparing your hospital for current and future audits. Questions asked, preparation required, and the essentials needed to run a compliant 340B program that performs well in future audits.

Presenter Bios

	John Bretz is an accomplished health care executive with extensive expertise in health care supply chain, distribution channel optimization, product development, population health, and health care consumerism. John has spent over 30 years in executive leadership with a fortune 500 health plan where he was responsible for 17 states, and also spent over five years utilizing his experience as a Black Belt Six Sigma with ICF International (large consulting company) working in both commercial and government health care sectors. John now is responsible for leading SUNRx's strategic business partner relationships and strategy.
	Cary Green joined SUNRx in July 2016 as Director of Sales. Highly diverse sales leader with a masters in health administration and over 25 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, hospital administration and home care. Cary began working in 340B within the pharmaceutical industry in 1993 to implement and manage 340B contracts with eligible entities, insure compliance with Medicare best price, develop audit procedures to uncover diversion and later negotiating exclusive contracts with 340B academic DSH hospitals. Business development and operational experience in hospital administration and home health.
	Patrick Regan is the Western United States Regional Manager for SUNRx. He has been working for SUNRx for 3 years. Prior to working for SUNRx he worked for the Montana Hospital Association where he worked for the for profit branch of the Association.
	Aaron K. Lott Pharm. D. - Health Enterprises is an Iowa based organization owned by not-for-profit healthcare providers. As the Executive Director of Pharmacy Services, Aaron supports his membership as well a national client base in establishing strategic direction, meeting operational and financial goals as well as developing new pharmacy business opportunities. Services include a provider controlled PBM and specialty pharmacy, 340B program implementation, auditing and education as well as implementation of provider owned retail pharmacies and the centralizing pharmacy services. The diversity within our membership and national client base affords him a unique perspective and insight into the challenges faced by numerous types of healthcare entities. He received his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and is a veteran of the United States Navy.
